Cheese Making

McIntosh and Bowman Cheesemongers now offer Cheese Making Workshops for aspiring cheese makers.
This much anticipated experience will take place on two seperate days in November 2008. Saturady 22nd November and Sunday 23rd of November. these are seperate dates for seperate groups.
We have engaged Master Cheese Maker and Senior Lecturer Barry Lillywhite of Charles Sturt University to lead the experience. Considered an authority on cheese and cheese related matters, Barry's 31 years of experience in the Australian industry has earnt him recognition as one of the 3 biggest names in Australian cheese.
Cheese expert Claudia McIntosh of McIntosh & Bowman will work alongside Barry to deliver an unparrelled cheese experience.
Join McIntosh & Bowman as they bring farmhouse cheese making skills back to the forefront of people's attention and ability.
As all our experiences do, this course offered an excellant perspective on both the science and the art of cheesemaking.
We will offer both:
- a cheese making 101 and
- a cheese making master class (2009 program)
Experiences will run for approx 6 hours and costs will include:
- a three course lunch as well as tea/coffee refreshments
- and a cheese course
- fresh milk
- tasting notes and cheese making recipies
- making 3 different cheeses for participants to take home
Tickets are on sale for $249 per person. Group discounts of 8 or more will be offered.
